You may be familiar with the 10-step plan of a Korean skincare routine. But how does this work exactly, and which products do you use? Boozyshop explains it to you.

Makeup remover & oil cleansers

An oil-based cleanser is the foundation of a Korean skincare routine and is therefore the first step in a double cleanse. An oil cleanser is ideal for removing oil-based products such as makeup and sunscreen. A double cleanse is done both in the morning and in the evening.

Water based cleansers

This is the second step of the double cleanse. A water-based cleanser cleanses the skin even deeper from make-up, sebum and dead skin cells. In addition, the skin is also cared for and gets extra hydration.

Exfoliator

Exfoliate with a scrub or peeling. This removes dead skin cells and ensures healthy, glowing skin. Regular exfoliation also helps the skin to better absorb other products. Exfoliate 1-2 times a week.

Toner

A toner is perfect for removing the last traces of your cleanser and for extra hydration of the skin. A toner also ensures that the following products are better absorbed by the skin. You use a toner both in the morning and in the evening.

Essence

An essence is the heart of Korean skin care. They often contain antioxidants and minerals that are good for the skin. With this you give your skin an extra hydration boost! You can use an essence in your morning and evening routine.

Treatments

There are many different types of treatments; think of boosters, serums or ampoules. These treatments focus on specific skin problems, such as acne or blackheads. Each treatment therefore has its own function. Which treatment you should use depends on what your skin needs.

Sheet masks

Sheet masks are the most famous masks in the Korean beauty scene. These masks have the shape of your face and contain different types of essences and ampoules. Place the mask on cleansed skin and let it work for 15-20 minutes. Remove the mask and massage the remaining serum into the skin.

Eye cream

The skin around the eyes is very thin and sensitive. It is therefore important that this delicate skin is well cared for. A good eye cream provides hydration to the skin and prevents dark circles and bags. Sometimes even fine lines!

Moisturizer

The second to last step of the Korean skincare routine is applying a moisturizer . A moisturizer provides soft, hydrated skin and helps to repair dry spots.

SPF

The last step in the Korean skincare routine is to protect the skin with a good SPF . It is not only important to use an SPF in the summer, but all year round. Products with a high factor protect the skin from harmful UVA rays. You also slow down the aging process of the skin.
