Panic! Your liquid lipstick is drying out, but you don't want to part with it yet. Luckily, there is a solution for that. In this blog you can read about bringing your dried out liquid lipsticks back to life.

Dried out liquid lipstick, what now?

Liquid lipsticks dry out because of the ingredients in them. Often, not enough oil is used, which makes them dry out faster than regular lipsticks. Follow the tips below to make your liquid lipstick work again.

  1. Hot water
A handy tip is to put your lipstick in a bowl of warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. This will warm up the liquid lipstick and make it liquid again. Of course, make sure that it is closed properly, because no water should get in or you can throw the lipstick away immediately.
  2. Aloe vera
If you don't have time to wait 15 minutes, you can also put a few drops of aloe vera gel in the tube. Then move the applicator well through the tube, so that the gel is everywhere. After 5 minutes you can use it again and you will notice that your lips are completely soft. Lip balm before using the liquid lipstick is no longer necessary.
  3. Oil
Coconut, hair, face or castor oil also help with dried liquid lipsticks. These different oils actually have the same effect as aloe vera: they revitalize the liquid lipstick. In contrast to aloe vera, you have to wait about 2 hours with (coconut) oil before you can use it again.
  4. Inglot Duraline
For this problem, a special product has been launched on the market, namely the Inglot Duraline . This works for powder products and/or eye shadows, among other things. If you want your eye shadow to be more intense, for example, you can add a few drops. This product also works ideally for dried-out liquid lipsticks. Add a few drops, shake well and it can be used again!

Tip

Do you have a normal broken or dried out lipstick in a twist tube? Then you can hold the broken piece under the flame of for example a lighter. When it starts to become a little liquid, gently press it back onto the remaining piece of lipstick in the holster. When you see that everything is straight, twist it all the way back and put it in the fridge overnight. The next morning it will be back to normal.
