How do I apply lip liner?

A lipliner is the way to get your lipstick nice and tight. A lipliner usually has the shape of a pencil. With a lipliner you outline the outside of your lips. Then you apply the ( liquid ) lipstick and voilà, your lipstick is super tight! A lipliner also prevents your lipstick from running.
Colour
It is important to choose the right color lipliner . It is often advisable to choose a color that is close to the color of your lipstick. Take the lipliner just a shade darker, this makes your lips look fuller. Another way to make your lips look fuller is to overline them. Be careful not to do this too much. This can look a bit strange.
Drawing direction
Once you have found the right colour lipliner it is of course important that you apply it correctly. There are different ways to do this:
You can draw from the middle of your upper lip in your cupid's bow, towards the corner of your mouth, as shown in the picture below. But you can also draw the other way around, from the corner of your mouth towards the middle of your upper lip if you find this easier.
Then do the same with your bottom lip. Again, start in the middle and draw towards the corner of your mouth. Or, if you find this easier, go from one corner of your mouth to the other with the liner.
After you have outlined your lips, you can blend the lipliner out a bit. For this you use a brush . Blend the lipliner out to the inside of your lips. This ensures that your lipliner blends well with your lipstick later.
Then apply the (liquid) lipstick and you are ready to go!
