What are Press On Nails?

Press on nails are ready-made artificial nails that you can attach to your natural nails using nail glue or adhesive strips. Available in different shapes, sizes and designs, these nails offer you an easy way to change your style. Whether you go for a natural look or a striking design with beautiful nail art, there is always a press on nail set that suits your style.

How long do Press On Nails last?

The durability of press on nails depends on the quality of the nails and how you apply them. In general, they can last 1-2 weeks if you apply and care for them properly. Make sure to treat your hands and nails gently to prolong the life of the nails . Avoid prolonged exposure to water and use gloves when cleaning to prolong the wear time.

How to apply Press On Nails?

Applying press on nails is very simple and can be easily done at home with the right products and steps:

  1. Preparation: Start with clean and dry nails. Remove old nail polish and gently push back your cuticles. File your nails and remove any bumps. Clean your nails so that the glue can adhere optimally.
  2. Choose the right size: Find the right size press on nails for each nail and line them up next to each other in order. If a nail is too big and there is no better size, you can gently file it down to a better fit.
  3. Applying nail glue: Apply a thin layer of nail glue to the press on nail and a little to your natural nail.
  4. Attach: Place the press on nail on your nail and press firmly for 10-15 seconds. Make sure there are no air bubbles in between.
  5. Finishing: File your nails if necessary to achieve the desired length and shape.

How to remove Press On Nails?

Removing press on nails can be done easily and without damaging your natural nails if you follow the correct steps:

  1. Soak your nails: Fill a bowl with warm water and add a little nail polish remover . Roughen the top of the artificial nail with a file, then soak your nails for 10-15 minutes to loosen the glue.
  2. Remove Carefully: Use a wooden hoof stick to gently loosen the press on nails. Start at the cuticles and slowly work your way to the top of your nail. Soak again if the nails do not come off easily.
  3. Nail Care: After removing press on nails and glue residue, moisturize your nails and cuticles with cuticle oil to restore them.

Can you reuse Press On Nails?

Whether you can reuse press on nails depends on their quality and how carefully you removed them. If you soak the nails in nail polish remover, you can unfortunately no longer reuse them. The plastic of the fake nails is softened by the remover. Nails that you have used with a glue strip can of course be used multiple times. You simply replace the glue strip with a new one and they are good to go again!

There are special press on nails that can be used multiple times if they are not damaged during wearing or removing. Make sure to clean them thoroughly and remove the glue residue before reapplying.
